Patatjes Delft blue is part of my Amsterdam series. It started with the idea of drawing animals on the Albert Cuyp markt, eating stroopwafels. I loved drawing the city around it so much, that I decited to draw the rest of this beautiful city too, with al the "people" in it. Just as animals, like I usually like imagining. In this scene you find two bears eating fries on Damrak. And as always, the seaguls are also very interseted! Who can blame them?! Eventually, they will all be in a book, a kind of love letter to the city I love living in so much! For now they will be available as cards and prints.
